School's Motto - Noy Sing

Jen Patience
Nai Perseverance
Shan Kindness
Tung Understanding
Chien Humility

The school motto, Noy Sing, is the first thing and last thing which occurs in a training session. When the class bows in and when the class bows out it is said. It is said as a reminder to which principles should be applied not only during the class but through our lives as well. Following these principles will greatly help ones learning in martial arts as well as everyday life.

What to expect in a training session

Warmup - About 30 minutes of stretching and warmup exercises to work the entire body.

Kicking component - Attacking and defending of kicks. This includes a multitude of kicks, knee strikes and leg maneuvers.

Punching component - In close attacks such as punches, elbow strikes, forearm strikes and palm strikes.

Self defence component - Defending against common streetwise attacks (in particular holds and grabs).

Total class session of 1.5 hours.

Also as you progress in your grades you will experience a multitude of other training methods as well as advanced levels of other training. Some of these include multiple opponents (as opposed to most other martial arts styles that only face consecutive opponents) and defence against weapons.

You are quite welcome to watch our training sessions or even jump in a training session without any obligation to join.
